Why volunteer?
First and foremost, we have a lot of fun! There’s nothing like a Parade to bring smiles to children and adults.
What kinds of things do volunteers do for the Parade?
Volunteers provide assistance with lining up and coordinating the parade units before the parade, monitoring the speed of the parade, passing out candy to children, setting up and tearing down chairs and tables at the parade grand stand and music stage, sound equipment set up for the parade announcer, ICSA information booth, float decorating, transportation between the parade start location, and much, much more.
After the parade, volunteers gather with ICSA Parade committee members at the Post Parade Party and Irish music session for more music and dancing, food and fun. See schedule of events for more information.
